I've been brought up as a vegetarian. Still, as the majority of people believe, fish is included in the vegetarian diet. So, if you go during a flight or into a restaurant and order a vegetarian meal, the biggest probability is that you get fish or chicken. So what's the big joke about? Everybody eats meat, why not us too? There was a time when I ordered a pizza in a pizzeria, and wouldn't take it if it didn't have any tuna. Well, things can change. Many of you know that I tried to become a cook, but since my teacher was so against of a vegetarian getting to his class, he kind of dropped me off. I still studied in that school for a year, and during that time I started to decline all fish products. If today you offer me something to eat, any meat, dead or alive, I will decline.
So, I became a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Meaning, I'm almost like a vegan, but I use milk products and chickens eggs. Of course, those who ask, yes, I do use honey. I won't refuse it just because some thinks it's only for bees. I'm crazy about cheese, so I can't refuse any offer of that. But other than that, I try to use as minimum as possible. Mainly, my motto is that I won't be responsible for killing any animals, and acting like animals and eating animals. I don't believe in the evolution theory which describes human to be as primal as any other creature on earth who just by a coincident happened to gain brains. I believe that we were created as human, creatures above the animals, to guard and guide them. Not to use them as our slaves and objects of greed and hunger. The earth and it's ecological system was created for us, to protect us and to provide us with basic needs. So therefore, if we have a working ecological surroundings, why do we have to stoop to slaughtering animals?
What is it then that most pisses me off with meat eating? In farms, they use cattle to feed themselves and it's been done years and years? Do I think that killing an animal is wrong? Am I against using leather clothes? What's wrong with me?
Well, I have black leather gloves. Then I'm guessing that I probably own some other leather things, but I don't make account of it. I've had discussions about not killing animals with friends and still I'm in the between. I kill flies when I see them. Ants, I hate ants. Every spring they try to invade our home. Not gonna happen as long as I live. So I kill bugs. How about animals? They breed and their number growths if no one does anything about them. I'm still formulating my answer to that question, but one thing I can tell you for certain: I do not except hunting in the near forest, nor any other forest. But why am I against it them, if I don't object wiping bugs out? After all, they are animals. From hunting we can make a bridge to my opinion on guns and other fire weapons, which I have been recently conversing in the messenger. Not going to go to that issue today.
The thing that pisses me off, is that no one cares. They go to a fast food restaurant or any other restaurant and order something delicious. The point is that they don't have to see how the food is prepared and made and what's actually inside it. They don't care. Fast food restaurants make food in an assembly line. Everyone gets the same portion with the same context. This way, the animals are also slaughtered in the same space. And if this equation is correct, then they also breed animals, meat, in the same assembly line. This world breed animals for one purpose only, which is to feed the not caring stupid people who haven't even seen a live cow. The chickens are brought up in a little boxed where they can't even see the sky or breath fresh air. Bigs are born in the same little cubicle where they live among their own shit, until they are escorted to the executioner and into people's plaits. People breed animals with a stake in mind. What has happened to this world? A lot of grain is cultivated, so that the animals they breed for a stake can eat and grow their muscles. The more muscle, the juicier stake. With the amount of grain harvested for the animals, we could feed the whole third world. And people still think there is a problem.
How many people actually know how a hamburger is made? When they fry the stakes, it sheds blood. This blood is not thrown away but frayed in the bun. How are frogs legs made? The legs are ripped off while the frog is still alive. Otherwise they'll be tenacious. How many know how a veal cutlet is made? They first have to wait that a cow gets pregnant. Then they wait for sometime, but not till the calf is born. They take the calf from it's mother's womb before it's born, since at that point it's still limp and workable and they cook it for the customers. It is created only to be chucked out too early and fed to rich people. Do you still wonder why I became totally against meat?
Why don't I approve of hunting? I have a couple of forests around here and I sometimes take walks to them. Once we were doing this with my mother and sister. There's a field between two forests and there is this little island in the middle of the field. We went to see how things look from there and we found this wooden built landing behind two trees. A perfect place for prey animals when they try to cross the field unharmed. They wait in there in the darkness, and shoot their victims, without anyone noticing where they are. I can't stand injustice against animals. I watch these animals when they run across the fields near to my home, in an attempt to escape and survive. I see them when they are there even without being chased.
Animals are animals. But what justifies human to stoop so low as to act like them? The animals maybe stupid for not understanding what is ahead of them, but then again that's how the world was created. So that the humans would think and take care of the earth. Humans were given brains for a reason and majority of people on earth refuses to use them. This world has turned into egocentric unfeeling selfish brothel where people search for a moments ecstasy. No one cares what happens to the neighbors and other people, so why should they start thinking of overly excessive production of meat. They don't even care what they eat, just as long its protein. But soy they won't try, not even in the face of starvation. Not even the threat of a mad cows decease seems to thrust some sense into people's heads that something is wrong. Not any bird deceases or anything else can get people to think. They decide to be stubborn and hide their heads in the sand.
So how are people actually taking care of this earth. By breeding, preying and slaughtering the animals, killing the jungle and dragging down the atmosphere so that this earth is unlivable.
